A defense lawyer in Miami had his pants catch fire while giving the closing arguments for an arson case he was working. Stephen Gutierrez was in the middle of his closing arguments defending his client who was accused of setting his car on fire when he says the battery of his e-cigarette caught fire in his pocket.

After fleeing the room with smoke coming from his pants Stephen explained to the court that it was a planned fire but police still seized the battery as part of an investigation of the incident. And to make the day worse for him his client was found guilty of second-degree arson.
