Local CBS program lovers are in a pickle at this time if those viewers happen to be customers of Dish Network.  KSLA Channel 12 and all its programming has been dropped by Dish Network until a new contract can be agreed upon.

According to the KSLA website:

”In order to serve our viewers, KSLA News 12 has in place agreements with the cable and satellite companies that bring our station to your home. In fact, KSLA News 12 has such agreements in place with every TV provider in our area.  Unfortunately, we have been unable to reach an Agreement with Dish Network.”

At the same time, the Dish Network website provides this explanation:

”We offered to pay Raycom the same rates as our competitors for the same content, but instead, Raycom demanded we pay unreasonable rate increases which are four times more than what we paid under the previous agreement.   As a result, since we have been unable to reach a new agreement, our contract with Raycom Media has expired and we no longer have the rights to carry your local channel.”

Regardless of who’s to “blame” we’re just hoping they get things ironed out before the season premieres of Criminal Minds, CSI, Big Bang Theory and certainly before we get into the full swing of football season.
