Just after Gary and I teamed up three years ago, we started a weekly program with the express purpose of promoting positivity in our part of the world. Ever since, we've recognized people on a weekly basis with our 'Caught in the Act' award.

There's another local group that's all about community and that's the Krewe of Gemini, the oldest parading krewe in northwest Louisiana. In their 29 years, the Krewe of Gemini has continuously given back through the gift of their annual parade, community service projects like adopting local schools, visits to schools, hospitals and retirement homes, etc... In an effort to continue lifting those in our community up, Tracy Herrin, Captain of the Krewe of Gemini, announced this morning on the show that this week's Caught in the Act award recipient will not only recognized on air and receive a $100 gift card to Silverstar, they'll also be honored as this year's Krewe of Gemini Grand Marshal at their parade Saturday, February 10, 2018!

We can't express what a HUGE honor this is! We love that a Kiss Country listener will be right out in front of one of the biggest annual events in Shreveport/Bossier! Make sure to make your nomination for this week's Caught in the Act award and you never know, your nominee could be recognized for the selflessness and dedication to others in front of hundreds of thousands of parade goers!
