Finding something to do this weekend won't be too long of a search.  There's literally something going on in nearly every corner of the Arklatex!  Here's the list of all the great activities we found.

This holiday shopping extravaganza actually began Thursday but will run through Saturday at the Bossier Civic Center.  Featuring over 100 unique merchants this is perfect for bargain hungry shoppers and provides much needed funds for the Shreveport Opera.
Hours for the extravaganza are as follows:

  • Friday, November 21 – 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Saturday, November 22 – 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Admission to the Market Days is $10 general admission; $5 senior citizen and military admission. Children under age 12 are admitted free.

Usher in the Christmas season with one of the classics. Enjoy the Moscow Ballet in the Great Russian Nutcracker at The Strand Theatre Friday night at 7:00 p.m. This must-see holiday performance features more than 40 Russian artists, larger than-life-puppets, a growing Christmas tree and life-sized Matrushka Dolls.  Tickets range from $28 to $175.

  • The Noel Foundation Chamber Music Series: Yevgeny Yontov

Saturday at 3:00 pm, join The Noel Foundation Chamber Music Series at Anderson Auditorium at Centenary College for the world class talent of Yevgeny Yontov on piano. General admission seats are FREE.

Make plans to stop by the Northwest Louisiana Association of Realtors office at 2036 E. 70th Street in Shreveport from 1:00 until 4:00 pm Saturday for the Pre-Christmas Extravaganza Event. Not only will you find some unique gift ideas and great bargains, but they’ll have lots of door prizes and give aways, including cash.  There will also be some booths set up for charities at this event and their proceeds will benefit people in our
community in need, especially during this season. The best part is that admission for this one is absolutely FREE.
