Kelly Brandon is This Week’s Recipient of the Caught in the Act Award
Kelly Brandon had no idea that people were watching her actions and that she was a true motivation for these people to strive to better themselves. She certainly didn't know that the person she had most impressed was her own husband, Dustin.
It didn't take a whole lot of reading for us to make the decision that Kelly would easily be this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award recipient.
Just one glance at her nomination letter from husband Dustin and we were overcome with the true admiration and love he holds for Kelly and how much better all of Northwest Louisiana is, because she calls this home. Just look at this letter.
Gary and Bristol, I would like nominate my wife, Kelly Brandon, to be caught in the act. Although I believe every mother should be recognized, I think that Kelly deserves a special recognition. She is not only a full time wife and full time mother, but she also has a full time job. She is the Director of the OTA program at BPCC. Her students teach their patients with disabilities how to live full and active lives with the skills and equipment offered through Occupational Therapy. Her heart has always gone out to those with disabilities or to those who are not as privileged as others. She has given me 3 very precious children but what I admire most is how she has so eloquently instilled in them humility, selflessness, self discipline and love of God. She has a way of teaching them these skills that far surpass my old school, redneck style and I greatly appreciate that. Sh e, as a wife to me, has greatly exceeded my expectations with her tender heart, her beauty, her kindness to everybody and a wit for decision making that keeps me out of trouble. Her grace and forgiveness of my many faults is way more than any man deserves. Over the past several years she has volunteered over 100 hours to the Susan G. Komen "Dancing for a Cure" event that has raised over $100,000 for breast cancer awareness. She is very frugal with our money, she never wants anything for herself but she is always very generous to help out others that are
in need. She is always lending an ear for a friend in need and is able to give very wise advice when asked to do so. Today is a very special day for her. Not only is it her birthday, but we will be taking our oldest son to college in Oklahoma so her emotions are on a roller coaster ride right now. I just want her to know that she is a true follower of God, a tremendous asset to our community, the mother of the decade and the wife of the century and that she has been "caught in the act" We love you Kelly, Happy Birthday!!!
Kelly Brandon, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!
And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!
Take a listen to the phone call we made to Kelly to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
