  • Jungle Jack Hanna at Shreveport Convention Center

America’s most beloved animal expert, Jack Hanna, brings his two-time Emmy Award winning television series to the Shreveport Convention Center this Saturday from 3-7pm with Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild Live from Nationwide Insurance.  He'll not only introduce us to some of the world’s most spectacular animals, but he'll also share humorous

  • First Annual Trail Lizards Jeep Jam at Muddy Bottoms ATV Park

Muddy Bottoms ATV Park in Sarepta actually opened yesterday morning at 10 for the First Annual Trail Lizards Jeep Jam. It's the only event at Muddy Bottoms where trucks, Jeeps and other four wheel drive automobiles are not just allowed, but they're invited! Along with a number of competitions, you'll see some awesome tribute bands performing including Guns 4 Roses, Escape and Walk This Way. Get the full schedule and ticket info HERE.

  • Joe Stampley at The Stage at Silverstar

Joe Stampley is appearing tonight at 7:00 at The Stage at Silverstar. This is for audiences only 21 and up. Get tickets at the Door or HERE.

  • Merle Haggard at Horseshoe Riverdome

Mighty Merle Haggard is scheduled to hit the stage Saturday at 8:00pm at Horseshoe Riverdome. Tickets range from $47 to $69.50 but according to Ticketmaster.com, there are "Not Many Left." Get yours HERE.

  • Highland Jazz & Blues Festival

Make plans to join in for the 11th Annual Highland Jazz & Blues Festival with music for everyone on two festival stages.  In addition to more than 60 food and art vendors, nine bands will play from noon until 5:00 pm.

  • Peace, Love and Bunco

This Sunday from 1:30pm until 6:00pm at Horseshoe Riverdome, make plans for “Peace, Love and Bunco” to benefit the YWCA of Northwest Louisiana. You don’t even have to know how to play. Bunco is easy to learn. You can show up and play immediately!

On top of these events and some great playoff action with several Northwest Louisiana high school football teams, there are three new movies in theaters this week including:
