When it comes to putting others before self, Josh Thompson not only talks the talk, but it's obvious that he "walks the walk."  Helping co-workers, family and perfect strangers is just a way of life for Josh, and even though he might not have known, his wife, Hollee, has been paying attention.

She admires him so much that she took the time to nominate him for this week's Caught in the Act Award and it was the admiration in her letter that made it obvious that Josh was our man this week.

Check out the letter that Hollee sent us when she nominated Josh for the Caught in the Act Award.

I'd like to nominate Josh because he is the absolute most selfless person I've ever met. Josh is the kind of guy that will pull over on the side of the road and help someone with a flat tire or other car trouble. He's the guy that offers a boost the the guy with the dead battery, the guy that shares his food at work when another guy has to double unexpectedly and didn't bring enough lunch to last 16 hours. I have lost count how many times he's put himself out to help someone out, offer his last few dollars to a stranger in need, or bend over backwards for friends or family down on their luck. He always says "I know what it's like. I've been that person before, and I'm just thankful I was in the right place at the right time to help them out." Just tonight at Walmart I watched a little old lady on an electric scooter having trouble getting to her car. The battery was dying and t he cold rain was coming down. While we waited for a parking spot to open up, I watched at least 5 people walk past her, glance at her and keep going. As soon as Josh parked, he jumped out of the truck and ran over to her, held her umbrella over her with one hand and pushed with his other. Got her to her car, walked her to the door while covering her with her umbrella, and loaded her groceries for her. He is such a great role model and example for our boys (ages 10 and 11). I know this may sound biased, the great guy is my husband but he definitely deserves some recognition for his kind heart and giving nature.

Josh Thompson, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Josh to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
