This Saturday, make plans to join the festivities in Gibsland, Louisiana for the annual Jonquil Jubilee.  You'll enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings while you appear to go back to a time when America was much simpler.

Gibsland celebrates the arrival of spring with all the attractions that have made the Jonquil Jubilee a favorite "early spring" destination for residents of North Louisiana.  You'll have the opportunity to take a driving tour along back roads to enjoy the thousands of daffodils, both native and recently planted, and to make occasional stops to enjoy the sights and sounds of a working blacksmith shop recreated to display antique tools and farm implements.

You can also enjoy a leisurely walk around town where vendors will be selling native plants and crafts. Local crafts and quilts will be on display at the First Baptist Church, and the Bonnie and Clyde museums will be open. Antebellum Homes will also be featured.

Tickets for the self-guided tour will be available at the Jubilee booth for $10.00. This ticket is your admission to the historic homes and gardens on the tour, and also a map of the various local plantings.
