As Hurricane Irma approaches the United States it looks like it'll turn up and hit Florida which will need to evacuate the storm. JetBlue has announced that they're discounting flights out of Florida to help get people to safety from the sunshine state. Hurricane Irma is currently a Category 5 Hurricane with winds over 185 MPH and will cause severar damage wherever it hits ground.

According to BusinessInsider.com "Charleston International and Savannah/Hilton Head International, as well as select airports in Haiti, Turks and Caicos, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and the Bahamas" are also included in the $99 deal. Hurricane Harvey which was a Category 4 Hurricane formed so quickly that Houston wasn't able to evacuate and they're still rescuing people so they're are not wanting a repeat with Irma.

With reports of several other airlines raising prices due to the surge of people buying tickets it's really nice seeing JetBlue stepping up to help! I priced tickets leaving this Friday out of Miami and one airline has flights starting at $238 and another had them over $1,100!
