Jefferson, Texas will soon host country music acts from around the world as the city presents the Texas Sounds International Country Music Awards! The awards bring musicians from around the world to perform in a four-day event Thursday, Oct. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 16, at the Diamond Don Event Center in Jefferson, Texas.

Bands, duos, and solo performers representing twelve nations will compete for awards including Entertainer of the Year, Female and Male Artists, Songwriter of the Year, Guitarist of the Year, Texas Heritage Award, and Locals’ Choice. Former Personality of the Year winner, Sarah Lucy Dole, is ecstatic to be a featured guest artist this year and says “For a country singer, Jefferson feels more like home than anywhere in the United Kingdom!”

In only its third year, Texas Sounds International Country Music Awards has grown tremendously. Gracing our stage have been top country acts from New Zealand, Croatia, South Africa, United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, The Netherlands, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, as well as American artists from Texas, Utah, Nashville, Arkansas, Alaska and Louisiana. Again this year ETPA will auction guitars autographed by all the festival musicians.

Diamond Don Event Center is situated on 100 forested acres beside Big Cypress Bayou. Food, beer and wine are available on site, with free beer celebrating the Thursday night festival opening! Tickets are $20 per night and music begins at 5:30; gates open at 5 p.m. RV and tent camping are available in the Diamond Don RV Park, 1602 Highway 49 East, one mile from downtown Jefferson.
