KTBS Independence Day Festival with Kip Moore
You gotta have fireworks on July 4th and the downtown Shreveport Riverfront is the place to see them. Festival starts at 1pm, Fireworks at 9pm, live music with Kip Moore immediately following the fireworks show.
Matthew Davidson Band at Louisiana Boardwalk
If you'd like to rock out before the fireworks start, head down to the Louisiana Boardwalk from 6:30 to 8:30 and see the Matthew Davidson Band perform under the bridge before the fireworks show.
Red Hot & Jazzed at Barnwell Arts Center
Food, entertainment and fun from 6:30-9:30pm. And a front row seat to view the fireworks from the beautiful garden at the Barnwell Garden and Arts Center. Admission also gets you a membership at the Barnwell.
JuxtaPutt-Putt at Artspace
If you have the day off and are looking for something fun to do on Wednesday... visit the artspace exhibit Juxtaputt-putt and be done in time to see the fireworks. Open Wednesday from 2p-5p at ArtSpace Shreveport downtown.
Moonrise Kingdom at Robinson Film Center
I'm recommending this film because I saw it this weekend. This fun and quirky comedy starring Bruce Willis and Bill Murray will satisfy movie lovers of all sorts. It's in limited release around the country and can currently be seen at the Robinson Film Center.
