Today is Cinco de Mayo, a day the country of Mexico celebrates the Mexican Army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.

Much like Ireland's St. Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo has become just another excuse for Americans to drink with wild abandon and behave in a way that is borderline racist.

This Cinco de Mayo, experts warn that a dangerous force may derail some celebrations. Hurricane Ashley is expected to hit several areas, and could possible cause damages and widespread panic.
