For the first time ever, Hillary Scott is nominated for a Grammy for work as an artist outside of Lady Antebellum: The singer, who released Love Remains with her parents and sister (as Hillary Scott & the Scott Family) in 2016, is nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance / Song ... and she's "over the moon" about it.

"I never expected it, because, honestly, when we set out to make the record, we weren’t sure how many people would hear it," Scott recently told The Boot and other reporters. "To be able to share it with my family is -- it makes me cry."

Scott may have been surprised by her nods, but her Lady A bandmate Charles Kelley says he knew all along that Scott and her family's project was bound to get industry recognition.

"The first time I heard [their single] "Thy Will," it blew my mind. I asked her if she could hold it for a Lady Antebellum record," Kelley reveals. "I knew it was special. I told her after I heard it, ‘This is going to blow up. This is going to be huge.’"

"Thy Will," written by Scott, Bernie Herms and Emily Weisband, was inspired by a miscarriage that Scott suffered in 2015.

"Just to see that song in particular, coming from a such a vulnerable thing," Scott muses. "I think we all hope that the things that we go through in our lives -- you end up, at some point, being able to look back and say, ‘Okay. Alright. I still would never want to go through it again, but I see why, a piece of why, even.' And so, this has been incredible."

Lady Antebellum have received a total of seven Grammy Awards to date, and as a solo artist, Kelley was nominated in 2016, for Best Country Duo / Group Performance. The trio, which also includes Dave Haywood, recently announced a new album, Heart Break, which will be released on June 9; the record's debut single, "You Look Good," is out now. Lady A will also hit the road, on May 26, for their You Look Good World Tour; a list of all of their upcoming shows is available on their website.

The 59th annual Grammy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on Feb. 12. The Late Late Show host James Corden will host the televised ceremony, which will begin at 8PM ET on CBS; the pre-telecast Premiere Ceremony will begin at 3:30PM ET and be available to stream online.
