He’s Roger Shepherd and He’s the Recipient of This Week’s Caught in the Act Award

Roger Shepherd has not only made a huge impact on his own children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, but he's also positively impacted the lives of scores of prisoners and those he attends church with.

However, it's Roger's own family who were first to stand up and crow about his awesomeness! Actually, it was his extended family who revealed Roger's wonders to us. Arah Shepherd, the wife of Roger's grandson wrote us the beautiful nomination letter which made it so easy to recognize Roger as this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Okay, where do i even begin, Roger Shepherd is my grandpa-in-law. Hes a wonderful man, husband to his wife, amazing grandpa and great grandpa. He's an active member at First Bossier. Roger would give the shirt off of his back or give the last $5.00 to anybody in need. He raised his granddaughter and grand son who is my husband. He has given us and our 2 kids a place to live. He has given his grandaughter & her husband & kids a place to live. His 50 year old "big kids" have came & went through the years. No matter how hard he has it, he is ALWAYS willing to lend a hand & help someone out. As an active member of church he participates with the KAIROS group & they go talk at jails and bring goodies like cakes or cookies & other desserts to the men that are serving alot of time & read from the Bible or just uplift them to help be positive. He's helped a ton with my son the last year between behavior or just dealing with school. No matter how rough my day is, I could call him up or txt him & he would say the right thing to make the day not seem too bad. He's just an all-around positive person to be around. This is why I'd love to nominate Roger Shepherd for the caught in the act award. -I hope he can get recognized for his hard work & dedication for his whole family, especially his grand kids & great grands. They think the absolute world of him!!!! Thank you so much!

Roger Shepherd, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
