Haylee Thomas is only 17 years old.  Soon to be a Senior at Haughton High School, yet she's already an inspiration to us all, and she's this week's Caught in the Act Award recipient.

Haylee is one of those young people who truly care.  She cares about her friends, her school, her community and now she's dedicated to showing our local law enforcement officers prayer and appreciation during a trying period for each of them.

Just read the letter we received from her proud mother Beth, and you'll understand just why Haylee received the Caught in the Act Award this week!

This is a letter from a proud parent. Recently with all the unrest in the world, my daughter, Haylee Thomas, has found a way to make a light shine. You see, she's loving and kind. She looks for ways to help others, even if it's just to offer a prayer. She currently has started gathering donations, along with several other ladies, to supply local law enforcement officers with "support and prayer" snack bags. One evening on the way home from helping a friend, she saw some sheriffs officers sitting at the school. She went and bought snacks for these men. When she returned, only one officer was there. She gave this man the snacks and prayed with him. Every evening since then, she takes her 11 year old brother with her in search of officers to give a snack to and say a prayer. She may not be changing the world, but she is making it a better place! Even as the mother, she teaches me so much regarding the good things in life. She makes my heart smile!

Haylee Thomas, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Haylee to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
