Living with a warrant has to be stressful.  Maybe you forgot about a speeding ticket, or didn't have the money to pay a fine, or somehow ended up being wanted by the police - it happens.  This weekend, the SPD is giving you a chance to set things straight.  "Amnesty Day," will be held on Saturday, February 16th in Shreveport.

If you have a warrant, or are afraid you have a warrant because you have missed a payment and / or a court date it's most likely the only 2nd chance you'll get to retain your freedom and get back on the right side of the law.  KSLA reports that the 11th Annual Amnesty Day will be "celebrated" this Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Shreveport City Marshall's office at 1244 Texas Avenue in Shreveport.  That's when you can set up a new payment arrangement to pay off your outstanding fines, schedule new court dates, and generally stop sweating bullets while you look over your shoulder for red and blue lights.  Make sure you bring your ID.
