Got an email a couple days ago from Trey Thames, a member of Grace Community Methodist church in Shreveport.  According to Trey, again this year they're sending to groups to Haiti to provide donations and aid...just as they've done since the earthquake of 2010.  Trey's group will leave the first week of June and another group will be there Thanksgiving week.  They travel to a small village a couple hours outside Port Au Prince and take items to give to the local people there.  This year, they're collecting the following items to donate to these needy people; toothbrushes, toothpaste, t-shirts (new or gently used, all sizes) and flip flops ( new all sizes).  Presently, they just need your donations of these items, or funds to be used for their purchase.  All donations are taxe deductible, and can be dropped off at the church during normal business hours. Grace Community Methodist Church is located at 9400 Ellerbe RD, right beside Shreveport Fire Station 19.  Donations of any kind will be great ly appreciated.  If you might have any other questions, send an email to Trey at Redneckgumby@hotmail.com
