Gary McCoy Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Arklatex Music Awards had a full house on Saturday night. "The Arklatex Music Awards program is aimed at exposing truly incredible talent. Nominations and voting are done by peers, fans, family, and friends. From Arkadelphia and El Dorado to Tyler and Longview, and from Idabel to Broken Bow, and Texarkana to Shreveport, the Arklatex has it all." according to the Arklatex Music page. It is a way for many of us in the community to share our favorites, from bands, festivals, to radio personalities.

Gary McCoy was nominated for a Lifetime Achievement award in June, there is no denying the Kiss Country Community made their voice heard. Gary McCoy was nominated alongside some big names including Lee Ann Womack, David Crowder and Neal McCoy. When Gary McCoy was asked how he felt after receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award he responded in true Gary McCoy fashion "People probably thought they were voting for Neal McCoy!" and laughed. Gary can definitely feel the love from all of you!
