Last week we found out that Louisiana would be getting another huge music festival featuring some big named acts, but until the big announcement this morning from "Flambeau Fest," we had no idea that they were thinking of super stars like Sam Hunt, Hank Williams, Jr. and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The festival’s inaugural weekend will take place on Ascension Fields at Lamar Dixon in Gonzales, just outside of Baton Rouge, on October 7 and 8.

Along with superstars Sam Hunt, Hank Williams Jr., and Lynyrd Skynyrd, country lovers will also get to see performances from Dustin Lynch, Chase Rice, Blackberry Smoke, Shreveport's own Jacob Davis and many more!

From the organizers:

Flambeau Fest is a two-day, multi-stage event at Ascension Fields featuring world class musical Artists, regional breakout performers, famous southern cuisine, local and regional artisans, and the community-orientated hospitality that defines Southern Louisiana culture. Flambeau Fest will present 3 Stages filled with great music. The MAIN Stage will be loaded with A-list and just-exploding national Country Artists, as well as Southern Rock icons. The Torch Stage will showcase rising stars in Country, including multiple regional breakout talents. A unique Flambeau Fest event will be the Nashville Songwriter stage, hosting the acoustic melodies of some of the greatest Nashville #1 hit songwriters, strumming inside the Louisiana Libations tent. The Louisiana Libations Tent and separate Food Promenade will feature a wide variety of authentic cuisine from the region’s top vendors, and tastings from local craft breweries, distilleries, and wineries.

VIP packages and limited early bird tickets are available today during a special pre-sale. Official on sale is this Friday, August 11 at 10:00 am.
