If you've got an aspiring young softball player at your house, undoubtedly her role model is no other than Jennie Finch!

While playing for the Arizona Wildcats in college, she was the Honda Award Winner as the Nation's Best Player.  She was the Pac-10 Pitcher of the year.  And she was a member of the NCAA Regional All Tournament Team.  Then in 2010 she played for Team USA as they became World Champions, won the Silver Medal at the 2008 Olympic games and she was named to the 2010 All NPF Team.  Additionally, Jennie was nominated for the Women's Sports Foundation Team Sport Athlete of the Year.

Suffice to say, she is to softball what Derek Jeter was to baseball and now you've got the opportunity to meet Jennie!

This Friday, March 4, make plans to see Jennie Finch at the First Baptist Church of Coushatta's Family Life Center at 1911 Ringgold Avenue in Coushatta.

Hors D'oeuvres will be served at 5:30 pm with the program slated to begin at 6:00 pm and dinner will be served at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are only $20 and include dinner.

I had the chance to meet Jennie just a couple of years ago and trust me, she's one of the classiest people you'll ever encounter.  Hope you can make it out for this one, and be sure to bring the whole family.
