Okay, I LOVE SAVING MONEY!! My tragic downfall is I am historically unorganized and have a very short attention span - two major hindrances to being a successful coupon-er. Having only seen a few clips from TLC's 'Extreme Couponing', I have realized that it is quite unrealistic for "normal" people, who work and have children to perform the miracles at the register as seen on this show. But, we can save money! I have been collecting sites and information for you all week! Now, unfortunately, I am going to have to work on my organizational skills to be successful at even the lowest level of couponing. I really don't want to lug around a 3 ring binder or a fist full of envelopes during my shopping trips, so I am still working on the execution phase of my plan to save more money.

Most online videos (and there are a TON of couponing videos on youtube) show people shopping at stores that we don't have here in the Ark-La-Tex. But a common thrifty theme that we can take part in was drugstore saving such as CVS and Walgreens. From my research, I have found that you will HAVE to make multiple stops to get the most bang for your buck---this is when organization pays off.

I do most of my grocery shopping at Wal Mart and saving with coupons is extremely tricky at Wal Mart, but once you understand the ground rules regarding printable coupons and what "one per purchase" actually means---you will be on the path to extreme couponing! You can even MAKE MONEY by using coupons at Wal Mart! Here is a video from Krazy Coupon Lady (check out her website for great deals) describing how to work Wal Mart with your coupons.

Here is another excellent couponing educational video full of tips about shopping at Kroger that will make your trip easier and help you to not be a frenzied chaotic mess rolling down the isles with coupons flying and recounting all the items in your buggy. (That is my mental image of myself attempting couponing.)

Good luck on your couponing adventures! And please share your tips and tricks of the save trade!!
