Eric Kirkendall has a really big heart! In fact, the only thing bigger than his heart might be his smile, while he's helping kids with special needs through the local chapter of Ainsley's Angels, that he started.

If you're unfamiliar with Ainsley's Angels, here's the mission statement of this incredible organization from their website.

In addition to ensuring everyone can experience endurance events, Ainsley's Angels of America aims to build awareness about America's special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life. Serving as advocates to providing education and participating as active members in local communities, we believe everyone deserves to be included.

Eric has made it his mission to insure these kids are treated like the real heroes they are.  Just look at the nomination letter we got from Kristal Pierce and you'll understand how it was so easy to name Eric as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Eric has given so much of himself to put smiles on local special needs kids faces! He has started a chapter for Ainsley's Angels in the Shreveport/Bossier area to provide inclusion for the special needs kids. His heart is so big and he just keeps amazing me with his efforts to fundraise and make each race special for these children. He shows up to do all the work putting together and tearing apart special running wheelchair buggies, distributing race packets and even making special chair signs with the kids names. He works hard to make this a success and he smiles as big as those kids while doing it! As a special needs nurse here local I can not thank Eric enough for all he has done to bring inclusion to our area with Ainsley's Angels !

Eric Kirkendall, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and being a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse and Silver Star Grille have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Eric to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
