I’ll be honest, after seeing the report that Carrie Fisher’s mom, Debbie Reynolds, released about our beloved Princess Leia being in stable condition yesterday morning, I was breathing a sigh of relief. It was like a slap in the face later in the day when we got the news that Carrie had passed at just 60-years-old. 2016, you’ve been like a wrecking ball when it comes to my childhood heroes! If you’re a huge fan of Fisher’s, you might want to make the trip to New Orleans this Friday where The Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus will be holding a second line parade in her honor. They’ll gather at 3pm at Markey Park in the Bywater and march at 4pm.

It’s been an exciting week for Shay Mooney from Dan + Shay. He celebrated his 25^th birthday yesterday and to make it even more special, he and his fiancée turned to social media Christmas Day to reveal the name and gender of their baby! It’s a boy and his name will be Asher James!

I am beyond blessed. I can't believe I get to call this beautiful woman mine. The last year has been the best of my life. @hannah.billingsley I love you like crazy and you're gonna be the best mom in the whole world. I pray that our baby is just like you...if they're anything like me, we got a long road ahead. 😂 I don't know how good of a dad I'll be, but I have the best one in the world to help me along.
