Its football season and the congregation all said, ‘Amen!’ At least that’s how Gary and I feel about football! TheBoot.com did a survey and they ranked the top five country football songs. Kenny Chesney came in first with The Boys of Fall followed by Hank Jr.’s Are You Ready for Some Football and Faith Hill’s Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.

I hate that this story has reared its head again, but with Halloween just around the corner, I get it. Jason Aldean is having to apologize AGAIN for wearing blackface last year. He said there was no malicious intent and he didn’t mean to disrespect anyone. I’m guessing he’ll have to keep apologizing for this one for a long time to come.

Sunday is the 15th anniversary of September 11th. It's one of those days where you remember exactly where you were when you heard about it. Blake Shelton says he was in his apartment in Tennessee when he saw it on TV. Gary says he was right here in this very Kiss Country control room. I was working in Iowa at the time and couldn’t believe my eyes either when I saw the planes hit. Eric Church says he was on his way to work at the Shop at Home Network and all he wanted to do was turn around, go home and be with his family. We understand… and we will never forget!
