Oprah Winfrey’s list of her ‘Favorite Things’ is out for 2016 and there’s a lot of fun, affordable stuff on it, but there are also some luxury items like a $400 hairdryer and $395 dog blanket. A bakery out of Tyler named Janie’s Cakes made the list for their pound cake. It’s owned by Janie Clapp and it’s on East Front Street if you want to check it out.

New in theaters this weekend: Doctor Strange with Benedict Cumberbatch and Rachel McAdams, Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge and the new animated Trolls movie with Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick and Zooey Deschanel.

The CMAs continue to catch flack about the performance by Beyonce and the Dixie Chicks on Wednesday night’s show. Fans are saying it took time away from the classic country stars who were on hand to celebrate 50 years of country music. There’s also some question as to online material that the CMAs removed from their digital platform. Some think the post made by the CMAs announcing Beyonce’s surprise appearance was removed because of negative comments but the CMAs maintain that they removed the material because it wasn’t approved for use by Beyonce. Clearly fans aren’t over Natalie Maines comments regarding President Bush or Beyonce’s stance on police reform or the Black Lives Matter movement.
