In case you haven't been keeping up with Louisiana state laws, LA is cracking down hardcore on Drunk Driving. It's not a slap on the wrist anymore with a little fine and community service, they are hitting folks with serious fines and jail time. And this weekend the Bossier Sheriff's Office will be running a Sobriety Checkpoint. So be aware and plan accordingly.

The Bossier Sheriff's Office will be out Friday evening into Saturday morning, Feb. 20-21, at an undisclosed location in Bossier Parish. They are looking for the drunk and impaired, to make sure they don't hurt themselves or others.

This is all a part of the 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' campaign the state has been involved with the past several years. Questions? You can call the Bossier Sheriff's Office 24 hours a day at 318-965-2203.
