Defense Attorneys: Brian Horn Didn’t Intend to Kill Justin Bloxom
The opening statements in Brian Horn's murder trial have been delivered. Horn's defense argued that the defendant did not mean to murder 12-year-old Justin Bloxom.
The defense attorneys said that Horn practiced a swinging lifestyle and was trying to lure the young boy away from a friend's home so Bloxom could have sex with his wife and girlfriend.
The most emotional testimony of the day came when Justin Bloxom's mother, Amy Fletcher, took the witness stand. She testified that she and her husband drove Justin to his friend's house to spend the night during spring break, and recalled that before leaving the child said "I love you mom."
Fletcher broke down on the witness stand and a brief recess was called so she could collect herself.
Horn is accused of murdering Bloxom in 2010.
Testimony in the trial of Brian Horn continues through the weekend in DeSoto Parish District Court in Mansfield, Louisiana.
