Debbie Thomason – This Week’s Caught in the Act Award Recipient

Just listening to Debbie Thomason speak, you can hear the kindness and compassion that springs from her heart.  She's the type of person that we all wish we could be and was an easy pick as this week's Caught in the Act Award recipient!

And nothing could mean more to her than the fact that it was her own daughter, Tara Foster, who's noticed how wonderful of a Mom she has and she was able to convey it to us in Debbie's nomination letter.

I'm not sure where to begin, I can't put into words the overwhelming amount of love and kindness this woman radiates from her barely 5 foot self. Debbie is not only my best friend, she is my mother. This woman graciously and selflessly gives her all to her loved ones. The past year has been incredibly tough and challenging. Illness and death has unfortunately been all too common. She is the backbone of our family and friends. She is the first person everyone calls with their troubles. She lays her own troubles aside to deal with ours. She has been the primary caretaker of her chronically Ill brother for months now, having to give up time off work, social events, and time with her grandchildren to be by his bedside when he needs her to be. Her any my father are leaders to an overcomers life group. They opens their doors to others struggling with substances abuse or fami ly members with substance abuse pushing their own personal priorities aside to help these in need just make it through one more week. I could go on forever about the list of sacrifices she has given, but that would take me a few weeks. I believe this woman is a hero, and anyone else who knows her would agree.

Debbie Thomason, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!
