Courtney Wingate is This Week’s Recipient of Caught in the Act Award

Dogs and cats, animals of all kinds, have a champion around these parts. Someone who will fight for them. Someone who truly loves and cares for them. She's Courtney Wingate, and she's this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Just take a look at all the love Courtney shows to these furbabies in her nomination letter from her childhood friend, Mallory McCrary.

Where do I even begin. We have been friends for quite a while. She was one of the first few people I met when my Mom moved us to the country from the city. Courtney has always had a passion for animals. She currently has too many cats to count and almost 10 dogs at home and not to mention the many she cares for day in and day out at the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana. She goes above and beyond to make sure that those furbabies get the loving family they deserve and aren't just thrown away again like they were when she pulled them from the kill shelters. Heck, she even dogs sits for friends that go on vacation. She puts all that in her day while still making sure to go home and play ball with her own furbabies. She deserves this award for every animal out there! She is their hope at a furever home! We love our Courtney for doing all she does and she is going to school to become a
veterinarian. On top of the many countless nights she spends at the rescue, she still makes time for her family and friends. So please honor her so she knows how much she means to the animals and all her friends and family!
