Company Will Loan You $10,000 and You Only Pay It Back If You Divorce

Bristol and I discussed this topic earlier this morning and the responses were overwhelming!  Don't do it!  That's what every caller clearly stated!  The company www.swanluv.com is offering soon to be married couples the chance to borrow $10,000 to help with wedding expenses and those couples will only have to pay it back if they divorce!

One of our favorite "regulars" is Biscuit!  And Biscuit told us, "betting on yourself is one thing, but when you're betting on you and someone else, that's something totally different."

And he's got a really good point.  With divorce rates pushing the 50% mark, most marriages should come with some type of escape clause.  However, we also love the positive spin that SwanLuv has put on this.  According to their Facebook page, "Everlasting marriage deserves to be rewarded."  And should the marriage last, a quick FREE $10,000 is a nice wedding gift!

So what's the catch?  Those couples who divorce, will have to pay the loan back in full with some pretty hefty interest.  Course, SwanLuv is a business, and they're banking on the 40 to 50% of marriages that end in divorce will essentially fund the weddings of those successful marriages with enough left over to consider the business venture successful.

Course, there are a couple of exceptions like when a marriage ends because of abuse, the convicted abuser will be held responsible for the loan.
