Coach Anthony Figaro at Herndon Magnet School is this week's Caught in the Act Award recipient and his is a story of kindness, compassion, leadership and incredible friendship.

Coach Figaro has made it his life's work to preserve the long lost art of writing cards. All kinds of cards for all kinds of kids and in lots of cases, just when these were needed most.

It was Tracy Sparaco who noticed the impact these cards made on the lives of others and she's the one who brought our attention to this Saint of a man!

Just take a look at the letter that Tracy sent us as she nominated Coach Anthony Figaro for this week's Caught in the Act Award.

He always thinks of others by sending them cards. He sends them out for birthdays, weddings, get well, and for encouragement. He always adds little cards with very uplifting sayings on them. He does this even for students that have been gone from school for years. When he became very ill a couple of years ago past students posted on Facebook, "Lets fill his room with cards so he knows that we are thinking of him too." Even though he was so sick one of the things that he asked his daughter for was his calendar, his blank cards and stamps so that he could still send out his cards to all of his kids. Coach Figaro is such an inspiration to so many kids that have walked the hallways of Herndon Magnet School. When they come back to the school to visit he is one that they ask is he still here and we love getting our cards. Coach Figaro is loved by all and so many kids need a positive male role model and he fits that order.

Coach Anthony Figaro, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Coach Figaro to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
