Cindy Callahan, pictured below in blue, always puts others before herself.  She says that "it's the nurse in her."  "I just love helping others" is what she told us this morning after we informed her that she was this week's Caught in the Act Award recipient!

Jill Picou nominated Cindy for this award and in the letter Jill sent us, it was obvious that Cindy is one of those people that make this such an awesome place to live!

Here's the letter we received from Jill nominating Cindy for the Caught in the Act Award.

Lucinda "Cindy" is a very giving person. I have had the priveledge of meeting her while she volunteers to help us distribute Senior Food boxes once a month at the Centurylink Parking lot. What sets her aside from everyone else is each month she uses a VACATION DAY to come out an help us. She also helps finds volunteers that are able to come out and assist us as well. She takes her volunterr job very serious and is always more than happy to assist me in any area she is physically able to. She has recently had several surgeries and as soon as being released has come right back to help us. She is not just a volunteer, Cindy has become a dear friend and outstanding citizen. I am the coordinator for this distribution and rely heavily on volunteers to help us each month. Cindy makes it so much easier for all of us by her constant assistance.

Cindy Callahan, thank you for all you do for others and for your giving spirit!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Cindy to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
