Chris Stapleton Brings a BFF to SNL

The Chris Stapleton phenomenon isn't stopping anytime soon. I would mark my Chris Stapleton concert experience as one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Only second to Dolly Parton of course! When I heard Chris Stapleton was returning to Saturday Night Live there was no mention of him bringing his country music outlaw friend Sturgill Simpson along. One thing is for sure, if Chris Stapleton is going to be on a stage, his wife Morganne will always be by his side. This time however his wife Morganne wasn't his only BFF next to him, Chris Stapleton brought his buddy Sturgill Simpson.

Sturgill Simpson has been known for bashing the CMA's, ACM's, and claims country radio won't embrace him. He's the country hater who loves putting out country music and won a Grammy for the best Country Album in 2017 for "A Sailors Guide To Earth". Simpson has always had huge respect for his dear friends Jason Isbell and Chris Stapleton.  Chris Stapleton surprised everyone when he brought Sturgill Simpson along, Will Ferrell didn't include Simpson in the introduction when he first presented Chris Stapleton onto the SNL stage. Does this mean Stapleton and Simpson may have more surprises in store for us?
