Central Assembly in the Haughton area became a focal point for all of North Louisiana not that long ago with the erection of one of the tallest crosses most of us have ever seen.  It serves as a beacon for Christians all over and once again this year, Central is celebrating "Christmas at the Cross."

It's a 100% FREE drive through live nativity scene with camels and sheep, tax collectors, Roman guards and of course, Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.

This past weekend, we made the tour along with thousands of others and were treated to not only the visual delights of each scene, but each car is also provided a CD that provides an onboard narration of the event.  The whole tour lasted less than 10 minutes but they were 10 of the best minutes for the family for all of 2012.  Kudos Central Assembly.  You really captured the meaning of Christmas.  If you'd like to take the tour, Christmas on the Cross will hold it's final two nights of the year, Friday and Saturday, December 14 and 15 from 6pm to 9pm each night.  And if you can't make it, we've attached the video provided by Central Assembly.  Course, it can't do justice to the sounds of a 4 year old seeing a live camel for the first time.
