The Cass County Rodeo Grounds in Linden, Texas are being prepared for the 14th Annual Cass County Championship Rodeo later this month.  You and the family will certainly want to take part in this one!

Events will begin at 8:00 pm on the nights of April 25 and 26 and rodeo fans will enjoy a special treat this year as Rob Smets "Kamikaze" will do the announcing this year!

Smets is the only 5-Time World Champion Bullfighter, a 9-Time Professional Bull Riders World Champion Bullfighter and has made appearances on CMT, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and many more!!  Plan to arrive early as Smets will hold an autograph session at 6:45 pm both nights.

Other attractions include the famous critter scramble which returns for children ages 6 and under and ages 7 to 12.  There will be two scrambles nightly.   In this event, the farm critters (goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, guineas, pigs, roosters, etc) are all set free in the arena and the children get to keep the critter they catch!!

Kids 7 and under and 55 pounds or less, can also take in Mutton Bustin each night at 7:30 and can ride a sheep for only $10.

Not only is this an awesome event for the whole family, but will benefit the community in a couple of ways.  A portion of the money raised will allow the Cass County Championship Rodeo Association to give a graduating senior from each of the seven schools in Cass County a scholarship and a portion of Friday night's ticket sales will benefit Cass County Relay for Life.
