According to the Bossier Sheriff's Office, the third annual event was hosted by Bossier Parish School Board Members Shane Cheatham, Eric Newman and Dennis Bamburg, Jr. It was sponsored by Lee Lighting and Smartphone Specialists, and included activities for children and families.

The theme was "Burgers and Badges," which paid special tribute to the various law enforcement agencies in Bossier Parish. Newman presented a plaque to Sheriff Julian Whittington and representatives from the Bossier City Police Department and Louisiana State Police.

"It's events like this that make Bossier Parish the special place it is," Sheriff Whittington said in a news release. "We are so appreciative of the support and community spirit we have here, and I sincerely thank Shane and all those who had a hand in putting this together. Excellent event!"

All proceeds from SOBO Family Fun Night went to fund the Bryant Lee Scholarship, which is awarded to a Parkway High School senior each year.
