Brothers Get Into Knife Fight Over Peanut Butter Sandwiches

Just how many peanut butter sandwiches is too many to eat in an hour?  It's a question that's been perplexing mankind since the beginning of time.  Well, maybe not.  In fact, I don't think the thought has ever crossed my mind, but as the self proclaimed village idiot for all rednecks, it does intrigue me. 

I just found an article in the Des Moines Register that proves rednecks are everywhere and apparently will consider fighting to the death if someone over consumes a redneck household staple.  Good old fashioned peanut butter! 

Hey, it was the choice condiment for Elvis, so you can see just how important this stuff is.  And apparently a couple of brothers in Des Moines felt the same way.

Last Friday, Jerome Davis and his un-named brother, who are both in their 50's and live together, were just lounging around the house.  According to the un-named brother, Jerome made three peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and ate them in the living room.  Then, within an hour, he made three more peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and ate those too.

Then the brother confronted Jerome about over-eating and the argument quickly escalated. “Both victim and suspect began yelling about the other being lazy and ‘eating again,’” police reported.  

Jerome ended up whipping out a folding knife and held it up to his brother's face and threatened to cut him. 

So his brother called the cops. When the police arrived on the scene, Jerome admitted to threatening his brother with the knife because, quote, "he wouldn't shut the [expletive] up and mind his own business." 

Jerome was arrested for domestic assault with a weapon. 

Guess his brother will have all the peanut butter for himself for the next few months.
