CMT Crossroads' latest inspired pairing is that of Brett Eldredge and Meghan Trainor, who will bring their respective  musical styles together for a unique performance airing early next month. In order to get fans whipped up for the event, CMT has released a teaser of the pair performing Trainor's single, "No Excuses."

If this doesn't prove the country crooner and pop star aren't a great vocal match, not much else will. Eldredge and Trainor—who are buddies that met at a party in Los Angeles back in 2014—share an easy chemistry that is shown off to full effect on stage.

The two friends' first meeting resulted in Eldredge asking Trainor to be his duet partner on the classic "Baby It's Cold Outside"—which is featured on his acclaimed Christmas album, Glow. That song will be part of the CMT Crossroads episode, along with Trainor's hits "All About That Bass," "Let You Be Right"; and Eldredge's “Drunk on Your Love,” “Wanna Be That Song” and “Haven’t Met You Yet."

Fans should also look out for their duet of the classic Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers number, "Islands in the Stream" during the concert, which was taped in spring of 2018.

The episode will air at 10PM ET on Monday, Sept. 3.
