Bossier Student Wins Louisiana Student Of The Year

KSLA reports that fifth-grader Zachary Evans Cryer, who attends Kingston Elementary School in Benton has won the award of Louisiana Student of the Year! The award is based on academic achievement, leadership skills, character and service to their schools and community. Zachary is involved with the Student Council and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is a member of the 4-H Club, Robotics Team and National Elementary Honor Society as well as volunteers with his church and the Kingston Safety Squad.

Zachary is a great role model for his classmates and hopes to one day have a career in science/robotics. Last year Zachary Cryer was given the "Terrific Kid" award from the Kiwanis Club.
