Sargent Barrett Lovell of the Bossier Sheriff's Department was recently diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.  Barrett is a dear friend and an incredible guy and could use your support in his fight against cancer.

Please offer your prayers for Barrett and donate whatever you can to help him meet the mounting medical costs that come with fighting this horrible disease.

Barrett, a Bossier resident, has been undergoing intense chemotherapy in a Houston hospital since being diagnosed.  He is only 34 years old. He needs all the support he can get, mental, emotional, and financial.

You can follow Barrett's battle through "Barrett's Blessings" on facebook.  You can also donate through the "Barrett's Blessings" webpage.

There will be a golf tournament fundraiser for Barrett this Saturday (November 8th) at Querbes. Please share this with anyone who may be interested in participating.  More information can be found here.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is cancer that starts inside bone marrow, the soft tissue inside bones that helps form blood cells. The cancer grows from cells that would normally turn into white blood cells. Acute means the disease develops quickly. Click this link to learn more about AML.
