Bossier City Police are busy investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred overnight at a Bossier City Hotel, and they need the public's help in identifying the suspect.

A press release from the BCPD describes the crime:

Officers were called to the Shreveport Country Inn in the 1900 block of Airline Drive just after 2 a.m. Thursday in reference to a male subject who tried to rob the business at gunpoint. The suspect entered the lobby, approached the night clerk and demanded money. However the suspect got startled and fled the scene before he was able to get anything.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 5’6” tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He also appeared to have a bump on the left side of his forehead. He was wearing a dark colored hoodie that was worn over his head, dark colored pants and a red or orange piece of cloth over part of his face.

Anyone who can help police identify this suspect is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100. They can also submit a web tip via the Bossier Crime Stoppers website - bossiercrimestoppers.org. Persons who contact Bossier Crime Stoppers are reminded they may remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest.
