There was some college football recruiting news, that didn't involve a commitment, that made us feel pretty good. Bossier City's Parkway High School has a stacked football program this year, featuring two of the Top 10 recruits in the state, and an additional Top 25 recruit on their roster. The program went through some tough times earlier this year when Head Coach Dave Feaster was removed from his position, but the team sounds like it will be moving on pretty well with players like Terrace Marshall, Jr and Justin Rogers locked in for their senior seasons.

But there was another bit of news this year, that involved coaching changes in Baton Rouge and some Parkway players. When some of the staff changes were announced by LSU's football, Parkway's premiere recruits reacted on Twitter, but the good news is, that shock may have warn off. According to the Louisiana Radio Network, LSU is back on the board, for at least one of the two:

"Parkway quarterback Justin Rogers lists LSU, TCU and North Carolina as his top three schools. Rogers plans to announce his verbal commitment on May 31st. According to rivals-dot-com, TCU is the front-runner."

Like LRN stated, TCU appears to be the front-runner, but the fact that LSU is in the final three is great to see. Not just for LSU purposes, but it feels like a show of maturation from Rogers. Often in the football recruiting process, people lose sight of that fact that these are still high school kids.

Seriously, they're kids.

So when they react to something, and post something on social media, we shouldn't work ourselves up over it. We, "The Media", sometimes find ourselves in a weird position when it comes to things like Tweets from recruits, because it's newsworthy to watch what direction the players are leaning, while at the same time keeping a reference point of the concept that the athletes are still teenagers.

So sometimes its nice to see someone that you're cheering on, make a move that you can feel really proud of.
