They say one man's junk is another man's treasure, and the adage could be proved true for you tomorrow.

It seems counter-intuitive in this age of decimated budgets, but Bossier City and Bossier Parish actually have some surplus items that they're going to sell at a public auction.  It all happens Saturday, April 1, 2017, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Lawler Auction Facility, 7781 Highway 1 North, in Shreveport.

Not only can you bid on office furniture, computers, and appliances from the City of Bossier City, but you can also bid on dozens of vehicles and equipment such as tractors and mowers from Bossier Parish.

If you'd like to inspect the merchandise prior to the auction, the items will be displayed today between 1:00pm and 5:00pm.  Bossier City's items will be available for inspection at the Lawler Auction Facility; Bossier Parish Police Jury's items will be housed at the Bossier Parish Highway Department yard, 410 Mayfield Street, in Benton.

On Saturday, buyers are encouraged to arrive early at the Lawler Auction Facility to register.  The gates open at 8:00 a.m.
