Bossier City and the great State of Louisiana were well represented last night at the Little League Girls Softball World Series with an awesome group of 11-13 year old girls!

In fact, barring the first inning of the championship game, they would have won it.  But, it was that dreaded four run first inning that proved too much to overcome.

It was the bottom of the first when the team from Robbinsville, New Jersey did all the damage.  After that, they were held scoreless.

Playing in front of an international television audience on ESPN-2, Bossier City eventually scored the game's only other run, but just couldn't put together enough offense to overcome that first inning.

Regardless, the girls and their coaches handled themselves with dignity and class and made us all look good.

Congratulations to the new World Series Champions, Robbinsville, with a winning score of 4-1.

In regards to our Bossier City team, they're pretty young, so the odds of a return trip to the big game are relatively high!

Thank you gang!  We're very proud!
