A boil advisory issued roughly two weeks ago for the Central Bossier Water System in Bossier Parish has been lifted, according to officials with the Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.

"Residents of the affected area, from Butler Hill Rd. to La. Hwy. 160, and from 7 Pines Rd. to the Cycle Plant Rd., are being notified Monday of the action through the parish’s First Call system and local media," said BOHSEP Assistant Director Gene Barattini.

Barattini said a maintenance issue in the system, which has been repaired, initiated the boil advisory June 23 as a precautionary measure. "A boil order was never issued," he added.
