If you've ever paid attention to Brad Paisley's song "He Didn't Have to Be", then you heard these lyrics:

Lookin' back all I can say about all the things he did for me
Is I hope I'm at least half the dad that he didn't have to be

Well, even though Holly Snell will never be a "Dad", she knows exactly what kind of man she was blessed with as a step-father. That's why she nominated Bob Bowden for this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award, and her letter made it easy for us to recognize Bob!

Not only did he take that "hard-headed 14 year old" into his heart, but he's a living testament to those around him about kindness, selflessness and giving to others.

I would like to nominate my step dad, Bob Bowden . 18 years ago he took me in as his own . I was a 14 year old hard-headed teenager. He is the most hard working, kind person I have ever met. He will go out of his way at every chance to make someone else's day or life a little easier. He loves my mom more than anything in this world and is a true example of a gentleman. Whether it's building houses, baling hay, or sewing curtains he puts his whole heart into everything. I'm telling you this man can do it all!!! He deserves more than being "caught in the act", and I would like him to know how much he means to everyone who knows him.

Bob Bowden, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and being a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse and Silver Star Grille have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Bob to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
