My hometown, Blanchard, Louisiana scored near the top and I'm as proud as a peacock! In a story from Yahoo, the best places to live in Louisiana were ranked based on three criteria: (1) median household income; (2) educational attainment; and (3) property crime rates per 1,000 residents.

And Blanchard was Number 2 on the list.  Falling right behind Youngsville, Louisiana, which is only about 10 miles from Lafayette, Blanchard was celebrated as having relatively well educated, financially secure, law abiding citizens.  With a published population of 2,511, a median household income $73,188 and property crime rate per 1,000 residents of only 1.14%, Blanchard showed the state just how great it is to call it home.

Other Northwest Louisiana cities faring well in the article were Bossier City at number 10 and Greenwood at number 14.

Congrats to all three cities and thank you for all you do to make this an incredible place to live!
