Country music legend Randy Travis recently suffered from a viral heart infection, then had a stroke. Thankfully, the "For Ever and Ever Amen" singer's condition seems to be improving.

    First recorded by Keith Whitley on his 1985 album L.A. to Miami, "On the Other Hand" was later released by Randy Travis as the lead-off single to his 1986 album Storms of Life, and it peaked at #67 in the United States. However, it was re-released in 1986 after the song "1982" peaked, and the re-release became his first number-one hit in both the United States and Canada.

    It was released in April 1990 as the third single from the album No Holdin' Back. The song peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks.
