Barksdale Airmen Come Home

More than 200 Barksdale Airmen are home after being deployed for Operation Inherent Resolve. The Airmen were stationed at an air base in Qatar. This was the first basing of B-52 bombers in the Central Command Area of Operation in 26 years.

Their mission was to help stability in the region. The team was made of members from 11th, 20th, and 96th Bomb Squadrons as well as the 2nd Operations Support Squadron.

150 Airmen remain in the area with more possibly being deployed in the future.
