Kenny Chesney, ‘Come Over’ – Song Review
The second single from Kenny Chesney‘s upcoming ‘Welcome to the Fishbowl’ album finds the singer returning to his old blue chair in an effort to pour his soul into a six-chord cask. It’s not clear yet if Chesney wrote ‘Come Over,’ but like many of his best ballads, this cut feels very, very personal.
Sara Evans Outraged by Controversial Time Magazine Cover
Very few who’ve seen the controversial cover of this week’s issue of Time Magazine walk away without an opinion, and country star Sara Evans is no different. She is one of two female vocalists outraged by the photo, which shows a three-year-old boy standing on a chair and breastfeeding from his mother.
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for Country Music Fans
Don’t look now, but Mother’s Day 2012 is on Sunday. Sure, there are the typical gifts — flowers, a nice dinner, a sweet card — but aren’t those a little boring and overdone? This year, try personalizing a gift to hit Mom’s country music tastes. This list of gift ideas for Mother’s Day includes 10 things she’ll absolutely love to own, which means you’ll be on her good side for at least another month or two.

Eric Church’s Comments – Readers Poll
Eric Church‘s comments about television singing competitions have split the country audience. Reader responses to his remarks and perceived insults in the current issue of Rolling Stone were intense, but far from unanimous. There’s little doubt that he voiced an opinion held by many — but certainly not all — country music fans.
Modern Country Outlaws – Readers Poll
The road of the outlaw is paved with sharp stones, but for fans of country music’s bad boys (and bad girls) it’s a satisfying path to follow. The original outlaws — men named Waylon, Willie, Merle and Hank Jr. — are mostly past their prime, but they’ve left a lasting influence on a new generation of country artists who are willing to upset the establishment to gain creative control.
Tim McGraw – Then and Now
You can still recognize Tim McGraw by his eyes and mustache, but much of the rest of his face is quite different in 2012. The singer is in much better shape than he was in this picture from 1993, for starters. There is something else that is different, and we can’t quite place it…
Daily Roundup: Reba McEntire, Cutest Pets in Country Music + More

New photos of the singer’s daughter are included in the Daily Roundup, a list of the top headlines in country music. Below, find our picks of the cutest pets in country music. You know, the furry faces that make you go, “Awww…” Just try and stop it!
Before They Were Famous: Billy Currington
Billy Currington‘s fans know the country singer looks pretty good showing off his toned arms. While he’s spent some time in the gym, a job pouring cement certainly helped sculpt his bod. One of the jobs he had before hitting it big with ‘Walk a Little Straighter Daddy’ in 2003 was working 16 hours a day at a cement plant. He also worked at a paper mill after high school and a pawn shop before getting his big break.
Sugarland Never Resisted Delaying Indiana State Fair Concert, Jennifer Nettles Says
While it’s possible that Sugarland‘s tour manager resisted delaying the start of the tragic Indiana State Fair show on the band’s behalf last August, the conversation was never relayed to Jennifer Nettles. That’s the crux of a partial transcript of Nettles’s deposition obtained by the Indianapolis Star.
